Nadim Merlot is a well-balanced, medium-bodied and aromatic wine. The nose
and palate exhibit intense aromas of fresh herbs combined with hints of cherry
and a background of earth. Its maturity and smooth tannins allows for immediate
enjoyment of this wine. This wine is aged in French oak barrels for 8 months,
which contributes to its maturity and elegance.
This wine pairs well with Mediterranean-style roast vegetables such as
peppers, zucchini, aubergine and roasted tomatoes or pizza. Give this wine a
try with some homemade maqluba. Best enjoyed at room temperature.
The 2013 Nadim Merlot is made from grapes grown in the Aboud Vineyards, which are located on the entrance of the village at elevations around 800 meters (2,600 feet) above sea level. Aboud Vineyards has proven to source high quality grapes with moderate irrigation. The grapes were hand-picked in the right technological and phenological maturation and transported from the vineyard to the winery immediately in small boxes in refrigerated trucks.
